Il verbo modale Will (forma contratta ‘ll ) può essere tradotto in alcune situazioni con ’volere’ ma è anche un ausiliare che viene usato per formare il futuro in inglese (nello specifico il simple future).
Come verbo modale viene usato per:
- esprimere volontà , intenzione, richieste, inviti, offerte (che avranno luogo nel futuro)

- Will you have a beer?
– I‘ll go swimming today
- per esprimere una previsione

il verbo modale Would
Would è tra le altre cose la forma passata del verbo will ma viene più comunemente usato per le forme condizionali.
Si usa per:
- esprimere richieste più formali rispetto a will:
esempio: Would you come with me?.
- nel condizionale:
esempio: If I were to India I would see the Taj Mahal
- esprimere will nel passato:
esempio: I said I would come
