I Pronomi possessivi inglesi

I pronomi possessivi in inglese (da non confondere con gli aggettivi possessivi) sostituiscono i sostantivi.
Sono pronomi “possessivi” perchè si riferiscono al possesso personale di qualcosa. I pronomi possessivi inglesi sono:

mine;
yours;
his;
hers;
its;
ours;
yours;
theirs.

esempi: La mia maglia è rossa e la tua è verde, My T-shirt is red and yours is green. La mia penna non scrive molto bene, invece la sua sì, My pen doesn’t write very well, whereas his / hers does.

Whatever is not nailed down is mine. What I can pry loose is not nailed down.
