Significa tradotto letteralmente “parlare attraverso il proprio cappello” ma in realtà traduce il nostro “dire fesserie”.

ATTENZIONE! Sfruttando l’assonanza hat/arse (o anche “ass”) nello stesso modo si puo’ dire ” sparare caXXate” (“arse” e “ass” sono infatti un modo volgare per dire “sedere, posteriore”). Occorre molta attenzione nell’usarlo appunto perchè appartiene ad un registro linguistico volgare.
