Letteralmente “essere tutto pollici” ed essendo il pollice il dito piu’ sporgente della mano, se avessimo tutti pollici “prenderemmo dentro” in tutto …. ecco che “to be all thumbs” significa “essere maldestro”, o anche “avere le mani di pastafrolla”
